Spring Jamboree This Saturday!
Well fans, the season is winding down so it’s time for us to be gearing up for our annual Spring Jamboree. This year’s event will be held this Saturday, May 22nd, at Dornblaser Fields. The event will feature live games starting every hour, beginning at 10 AM, and will have middle school and high school boys and girls action. The grill will be fired up, we’ll be selling concessions all day, and the good people at Mauler’s Hockey Central will have the trailer out selling MEL and other lacrosse merchandise, with proceeds benefiting the players.
Following each team’s final game, there will be team awards presentations. Families are encouraged to join us as we celebrate our player’s accomplishments.
In addition to the games, there will also be a men’s scrimmage to cap off the day. Adult players from the Missoula Men’s Lacrosse League, UM Griz Men’s Team, and other old Montana laxers are invited to come throw in sticks for a fun pick up game. In the spirit of the game and to help promote growth in our region, we are asking that participants make a donation to the program, but any amount will do.
There will also be some contests and games for our younger players out there and kids of all ages are invited to come to the games, learn a bit about lacrosse, and have some fun playing the sport.
The schedule is as follows:
10 AM FIELD 2 MEL Middle School Boys v. Whitefish
11 AM FIELD 1 MEL JV Boys v. Bozeman
12 PM FIELD 2 MEL HS Women v. Gonzaga Prep
1 PM FIELD 1 MEL Varsity Boys v. Bozeman

We hope to see you all out on the field to help celebrate the season!

whats the skinny on the youth games and events?
there aren’t any structured youth games, but there will be space for a pick up game to break out if that’s what needs to happen. Otherwise we’ll be putting together some fun activities for them, stuff like Bozo buckets and Sharks and Minnows. We will have some coaches and players there to teach skills and organize the games. Hope to see you out there!
